From Wenzhou is a moving, multimedia tribute to lineage, loss, and the search for belonging. Photographed by Caroline Xia and designed by Leslie Xia, after the death of their maternal grandmother in Wenzhou, China, the book blends photography, personal essays, and oral history. 

Through intimate storytelling and visual documentation, the Xia sisters explore what it means to mourn across borders and generations. Their narrative traces a journey not only across the globe but inward, into questions of identity, regret, intergenerational resilience, and the cultural specificity of the Wenzhounese community.
